JOURNEY OF ELIJAH'S CHARIOT

The following is a demonstration of the precession of the equinoxes
from the perspective of the
Chariot of the Gods.

Instructions for interactive animation of the demonstration are provided through this link. This demonstration will center on the journey of the chariot beginning in 26,500 BC as the chariot approaches its highest elevation relative to the celestial equator. It cycles downward (south) and then pivots sharply at the equator to rise westward for an approach to it highest elevation around 2000 AD. The second cycle brings the chariot back down to earth where it pivots for its next upward journey in 18,000 AD.

On the eastern horizon, Leo, the Kingdom of Heaven, rises when the chariot rises, and falls when the chariot falls. In opposition to Leo is the Valley of Death at Pisces. When the chariot falls to the earth, it begins by tilting the Valley of Death above the Kingdom of Heaven. In 10,876 BC, the Chariot reaches the winter solstice and the Valley of Death rests on the western horizon at the equator. As the Chariot pivots after passing the winter solstice, the Kingdom of Heaven flips above the equator and the Valley of Death crashes into the lower world below the equator. Rising westward, the Chariot brings the celestial Virgin and the top of the world into view, while keeping the Valley of Death below the celestial equator.

This is the message of the Chariot. The Teacher of Righteousness is Leo, for Regulus, its brightest star, rests on its fore paw and on the ecliptic, as the lion spiritually proceeds in the direction of precessional time. To recognize the right direction of the messages written in the heavens, one only needs to realize that Virgo and Leo are on top of the cosmic world oriented in the proper direction of time. This is paraphrased by the expression, "it is necessary to be born of the Virgin to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven."

Taurus, at the entrance to the lower region of the cosmos, is spiritually proceeding in the direction opposite of time. In the Mithraic Mysteries, Mithras attempts to turn the bull around. After a great struggle, Mithras hears the hidden message of the bull. In Egypt, Taurus was the Bull of My Mother, and supplier of material wealth. The behavior of the bull is protective of its own realm (masculine), and protective of children by sending them back to the upper world like a doting mother. Men struggle to break the bond with their mothers, only to return to their mother's spirit in their wives. Mithras eventually realizes that the shortcut back to the upper world via Perseus and Auriga results in immaturity. When he passes through the lower world, Mithras completes the journey back home to his father, Ophiuchus, on the eagle's wings.

In the Chariot of the Gods, we can recognize a route which avoids trials and tribulations, but never reaches maturity of the cosmic cycle. All attempts to overcome loss of emotion (Medusa's head) by rational methods are shortcuts back to mother. Men who venture through the Gateway of Men must accept the walk through the Valley of Death as the fundamental initiation into life. When they successfully negotiate the Valley of Death, they often come back on the chariot as Good Shepherds protecting lost sheep. Their prior experiences with death tell them when a "lost sheep" has the capacity to find itself. These sheep are then led to Aries for the slaughter, and revived by Aquarius with the help of Capricorn to venture through the Gateway of Gods.
