Platonic & Tropical YearsThrough SiLoam.Net, SU International has the objective of sharing personal educational opportunities beyond our home, school and career education paths. We all begin in a home environment of one form or other. The typical home environment is the family, where parents, siblings, and neighborhood cultural traditions provide the needed skills for negotiating life. These traditions include myths and stories which have been handed down for thousands of years. School environments include all formal educational institutions, apprenticeships, and structured learning venues. Career environments include the matured process of applying what has been learned in the home and school environments.

Many of us get locked into careers that become a false self identity. This process takes many years, and the redundancy of the career often results in our being able to perform the career tasks without any awareness of the greater world in which we have the opportunity to live. Additionally, the modern material necessities of life often do not allow an individual to spend adequate time to learn more about the world beyond a career, job, or vocation. And thus, the self may become confined to a box with limited personal growth.

Civilizations have experienced the phenomenon of personal growth stagnation for as long as they have been in existence. People tend to get caught in a position identified by the concept of the "Peter Principle." This principle was introduced by Laurence J. Peter in his book by the same name. Peter originally stated that "in a hierarchically structured administration, people tend to be promoted up to their "level of incompetence."

Recognizing the barriers at the top of a chosen career ladder is not feasible when we step upon the first rung. But when we reach a substantial position above the first rung, we become very reluctant to start over again, even when we know that the ladder simply ends at a high rung, without satisfaction. Contrary to the "Peter Principle," our highest achievement is often not at our "level of incompetence," but it is at our "level of recalcitrance." We often choose to wait it out on the higher plateau, until life passes us by.

The SU in SU International stands for Success Unlimited, and it has objectives similar to the Success Unlimited enterprises of Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone. In the best seller, Think and Grow Rich, Hill made the simple but powerful statement, "What ever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it will achieve." When the recalcitrance that leads to the "Peter Principle" is overcome with the Hill axiom, there are no limits upon success. The most important word is "believe." It is through belief that we establish the ladders we are willing to climb, and the ones we choose to avoid. Astroarchaeology opens doors to show many ways beliefs were realized in ancient times.

CELESTIAL METAPHORS

For Christmas 1997, SU International published the booklet Yes Virginia, Santa Claus is Coming Tonight with the specific purpose of acknowledging the top of the Cosmic Ladder for confused adolescents and recalcitrant sages. Possibly the most famous cosmic ladder of all time is the one in Jacob's dream in Genesis 28:12: And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. By opening some of the doors which ignorance has left unopened, and which recalcitrant wisdom has closed, a path is cleared through our celestial garden to the Tree of Life by consciousness of astroarchaeological sources.

These sources exceed the perceptions of tropical astrology which is based on a sun centered universe by filling in the missing asterisms which tell the stories of the stars. The image to the left is the plane of the ecliptic which shows a more complete discovery of astrological position.

In the celestial garden a man walks with spirit and desire. He proceeds opposite the direction the planets travel, and against the sense of material predestination that inspires tropical astrology. By relaxing at the top of the celestial green pastures and taking the time to analyze the mysteries of the heavens above and the earth below, revelations of the kingdom to come occur.

Half way around the circuit in that kingdom the man is destroyed and sent down a river, buried under a tree, and then enlightened amidst a moor of recalcitrance and bondage. Because of this experience, he is intimidated by memories of physical desires and anxieties, which block him from going forward. He stands with his eyes on the material celestial path at the final hour. Above the recalcitrant sage, a child on the wings of an eagle bravely and faultlessly desires to start the journey again. In the form of a heavenly serpent, this resurrected spirit from the cosmic fountain of youth restores a sense of Divine Purpose, as the man walks above the path of the earth once more, creating his kingdom as it comes, and knowing where it will lead him.

CELESTIAL RESEARCH

This celestial metaphor is older than any human civilization. It has been embraced by SU International as ancient manna from the heavens, in the same way it must have been embraced for tens of thousands of years by those who took the time to name the stars and their connections. Although, it is presented as a story of a man in many cultures, it is in fact, a journey of reason to find the archetypes of the human soul amongst the intuitive echos of evolutionary spirits.  The astroarchaeology presented through SiLoamNet is a revival of dreams and visions by ancestors of modern civilization. Each constellation has been researched and derived from drawings and mythological stories which are older than the history of mankind, but younger than his dreams. In many cases, the modern names are different than the ancient names, but the connections are the same. In some cases, the connections amplify the meaning of scripture by associated placement within the cosmic masterpiece. When the detail of the placements of the elements of this cosmic story are fully understood, their message of Divine Purpose becomes extraordinarily hard to reject. That is why scriptures say, "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork." Ps 19:1 SiLoam.net demonstrates the material truth of this spirit.

Those who can see the eternal messages in the stars will appreciate why the constellations were drawn in the heavens by our ancestors. "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years." Gen 1:14 defines the Milky Way as dividing lights, which separate day above and night below in the firmament of the heavens, constellations as signs, and wandering stars to designate seasons, days, and years. The division of cosmic dreams in the Land Above, the Land Below, is balanced by the Land Between, which is the reality we are given.

PRESCRIPTIONS FOR LIFE

For untold thousands of years, civilizations have written celestial based myths for the sake of generations to come. Whenever civilization has stopped long enough to understand the ancient messages in the myths, it has subsequently entered a renaissance of renewed abundance. In short the myths all say, "take up thy bed and walk." (John 5:8) Accepting this cross of self identity is the single most crucial step in life. It is the self that must determine against what tree the ladder of self perception is leaning.

If you are reticent to accept that the great scriptures were derived from messages written across the heavens, consider the introduction to the Gospel of John, verses 1-5. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Reading through the mystery in the Logos, we can understand that John was describing the ancient process of comprehending the incomprehensible, not by rationality alone, but by intuitive self awareness and cosmic harmony. The need for cosmic consciousness is as ancient as consciousness itself. Without cosmic consciousness, the message of the cosmic light shines in a cave of abyssmal darkness. Self consciousness is born in that cave with the divine objective of receiving the light, when the Sun Rises.

When humans began to contemplate their place in Creation, it was as participant members of the heavenly realm, for the stars were their canopy. They used them for navigating life by defining day and night, up and down, heaven and earth. Perceiving these "subjects" as the conscious mind of the Creator became the goal of all who cared to share in the miracle of life through cosmic communication. Consciousness is the throne which can carry most any subject. When Cosmic Being is the subject which lives in the conscious mind of the mortal, a heavenly throne is shared in a united temporal and eternal kingdom. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Rev 3:21

Graphic Image

Use the scroll bars to move through the seasons and through the ages and stories on the graphic image above. The image displays all the stars and constellations around the plane of the Earth's orbit. For over 20,000 years, people have recorded their trust in the heavens to tell them everything they need to know about the Cosmic Home. They have written their understanding as graffiti on the celestial walls, and as stone monuments all around the planet. Every belief system, that has any depth in time and space, divines a moment of its first occasion amongst the stars. To find some of the major beliefs along the cosmic road, read the creative purposes for which they were founded, recorded at the location of the earth (autumn equinox) and/or the sun (vernal equinox) at each moment of the "first occasion". The actions of the man on the journey represent the principle tenet, or Divine Purpose, for which each creed was founded. They are referenced to the date of the cleansing of arrogance, because that is the fundamental message. We have always been elements of the Divine Plan. The following links connect to essays illustrating the principle tenets identified by lost cultures. The timeline is shown graphically below the list.
